    Kumin, kimel, kim (Cumin)

    Kumin je blijedo zeleno sjeme biljke Cuminum cyminum, koje potiče sa Mediterana ali se ustalila i u Indiji, Turskoj te na Srednjem istoku. Kumin ima vrlo specifičan, oštar, malo gorkast ukus. Ima vrlo prodoran miris.

    U kulinarstvu, kumin se koristi u zrnu ili samljeven. Dodaje se curry jelima, meksičkim jelima (npr. chili con carne), marinadama, uz jela sa sirom i jajima, te jelima sa ražnja ili grilla.
